With a love of color and light and a bold flair, Janice Russell Beck brings the essence of time and place to her paintings. She combines realism and impressionism to portray her joy in the beauty that surrounds her.
After earning her BS and MS degrees at Jacksonville University she taught public school for 14 years at both high school and college levels. Janice is a full time professionl artist who has, for the past nineteen summers conducted workshops in the United States and Europe.
In 2001 Janice had the honor of being selected as a "Southern Notable" for her contributions to life in the south. And in 2006 she was selected as one of the top ten out of over 3000 participants in the "Next Great American Artist" contest.
Janice has been selected as the artist of choice for the "Atlanta Dogwood Festival" poster and has created posters for the city of Marietta. Janice has exhibited her work in both solo and group shows where she has won numerous awards and her paintings are included in many corporate and private collection.
Each summer Janice invites a select group of friends and fellow artists to enjoy the wonders of and paint some of the most beautiful parts of the world. Magnificent places, wonderful food, and a group of people who appreciate art, history and beauty make this experience a memory of a lifetime.

Painting in quaint villages, eating in outdoor cafes, cherries tasting of sunshine picked right from the tree, the color and the fragrance of poppies, lavender and sunflowers assaulting your senses daily.
The cost is per person and based on the number of people that share house and car. The more people that share, the less per person. If interested in prices for three or more, please inquire. Below pricing based on double occupancy.

Workshop fees are separate and are $375 per person for five (5) days of plein air painting classes in a variety of beautiful settings. This is due 30 days before departure.
A deposit of $550 per person is due upon booking; $400 of that deposit reserves your house, car and local liaison. The remaining $150 is for Janice and her husband Jerry offering guidance and assistance with booking your trip, insight on local customs , needed information and direction as well as planned group activities that enhance your overall experience.

I will be conducting painting workshops at my studio near my home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. See my schedule posted below.
Painters can expect to complete 3 - 5 paintings per workshop. A list of supplies needed will be furnished upon registration. Fee for each workshop is $375, which includes a registration fee of $100 per person, with the balance of $275 due first day of class.
