Janice Russell Beck

With a love of color and light and a bold flare, Janice Russell Beck brings the essence of time and place to her paintings. She combines realism and impressionism to portray her joy in the beauty that surrounds her.

 

After earning her BS and MS degrees at Jackaonville University, she taught public school for fourteen years at both high school and college levels. Janice is now a full time professional artist who has conducted workshops in the United States and Europe for the past twenty three years.

 

In 2001, Janice had the honor of being selected as a "Southern Notable" for her contributions to life in the south. In 2006, she was selected as one of the top ten out of over 3,000 participants in the "Next Great American  Artist" contest. Janice has been selected as the artist of choice for the "Atlanta Dogwood Festival" poster and has created posters for numerous art festivals and city governments.  Janice exhibits her work in  both solo and group shows where she has won numerous awards and her paintings are included in many corporate and private collections.
